It’s summer now in Ohio and the heat does not quit.
Nothing screams summer to me more than some DIY cut offs; I made these shorts a couple summers ago and still can’t part from these beauts. To make them I went to a thrift shop and picked up a pair of the ever famous ‘mom jeans’ and cut them to a desired length. After trying them on, I felt like they needed a bit more personality. In order to add a splash of ‘Monica,’ I bleached them and added some texture to the fabric giving the denim a more lived in feel.
I love mixing my denims, so I paired my denim cutoffs with an oversized denim jacket and a simple striped top underneath. The striped top broke down my look while staying true to the color scheme.
I finished off the look with a pair of green shades to add a new element to the look and keep it fresh for summer.
This outfit was great for spending the day walking around and shopping in the suburbs of Ohio.
Have a fab week everyone!
